Diary

One of the first concepts I met in training as Stress Management Therapist was the idea of ‘Zones of Stability’….still a very useful concept.
You’ve guessed it – zones of stability are people, places, activities and events that help keep us sane, whatever madness is going on around us. They are usually reliable, regular and predictable things  – like meeting friends for coffee, the book club, walking the dog, going to Church, the weekly yoga class, the pub (what’s that?), the golf dinner (we’re in really dangerous territory now!!!).
We all need them – now more than ever!

Ironically when we need them most, many of  our usual zones  have been significantly curtailed by the ongoing Covid 19 crisis. Which means we have to think outside the box to come up with new ones….
Do have a look below – I’m confident you’ll find something that could be an invaluable resource, a zone of stability for you this Autumn

Places are available on all of the above, except the ‘live’ yoga classes – sorry about that, but I have to keep the numbers so small….it’s an indication however of just how much people want to get back to their familiar and reliable zones. I do hope we can all do that soon!
Love to hear from you – whether it’s to book a place, ask a question or have a chat about whether a particular class might be suitable for you at the moment. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch

  1. Hi Mairead
Do you have places available for tuesday at 7.30 – for 3 of us! My daughter Máiréad and her friend Anne, are interested, along with me!

    1. Hi Tracey,
Thanks for your enquiry.Yes there is space in the Yoga class. In the Yoga I teach the emphasis is on connecting deeply with the body and breath rather than having a fitness agenda. We do work with postures that develop strength and tone, but we also do some very gentle work – reconnecting with the body and breath in simple movements with careful attention is wonderful for calming the nervous system, reducing the effects of accumulated stress and building resilience for the ups and downs of life. If it sounds interesting and you’d like to join, just let me know which class: 6pm or 7.30?
If you need more info or have any questions at all, do please get back to me either by email or call 086 8120332.
      Warm wishes,
      Mairead

    1. Hi Roisin,
      Thanks for your enquiry.
Sorry, I don’t run any group classes over the summer – just see people on one-to-one basis.
I’ll soon have dates sorted for Yoga and Mindfulness classes for autumn term – will be posting these soon.
Do get back to me if you have any further questions.
      Warm wishes,
      Mairead

  2. Hi Mairead,
Are you holding any mindfulness day retreats in Belturbet in the near future?

    Kind regards,
    Geraldine Brady

    1. Hi Geraldine,

      Many thanks for your enquiry.
I have no plans to hold any events in Benburb – lovely place though, and I might think about it for later, but not at the moment.
      Sorry about that.
      With warm wishes,
      Mairead
